How to Succeed in Article Marketing?

Last Week, I got a PM from a newbie marketer at DP Forum asking, how shall i succeed with Article Marketing? So i thought to share the answer here as well.

When we talk about Article Marketing, the first name which comes in our mind is Ezinearticles.com. Most of you submit articles in ezinearticles, Some of your articles get good no. of views and some get less. Have you ever thought why this happens? Why one of your article gets thousands of views and other don’t even manage to get dozen views?

See, Once the article gets approved; first it gets traffic from Ezinearticles viewers and second from search engine (In case the article is well written with a good keyword density and you manage to achieve the ranking in search engines). But have you noticed why one of your articles don’t get good ranking in search engine and one gets really great ranking in spite of having the same keyword density.

The Answer to all the above questions is Timing; when your articles get approved in ezine. Suppose One of your article gets approved on Monday Morning Ezine Time and category of your article is “Energy Efficiency”, There is high possibility that the article will not get much views as after the morning, there will be lot of articles in your category and if you check any category of Ezine articles, they allow only 30 articles per category page so if more than 30 articles get approved after your approval, you will not be on Category Top Page and there is high possibility that your article neither get ezine traffic nor search engine traffic.

Suppose your article gets approved on Friday Evening and you may be knowing that ezine works on Monday to Friday so if you manage to get your approval just 1 or 2 hours before ezine closure time, There is high possibility that your article will be on top or at least top 10 results of category page. This way you will get ezine traffic. Also ezine has one more functionality of “Other Recent Articles” so you will be on all the article pages of that particular category and this way you will get thousands of back links because all the articles of that category will show 14 most recent articles, though that would be just for 2 days but that is enough to get good ranking in search engines for your targeted keywords. This way your articles will get lots of views during weekend and some of your articles might get “Most Viewed Articles” status, this will also give a great exposure to your article.

But now question arises how can you get your articles approved on Friday. There are 2 ways: One is to get Ezine Articles Premium Membership that is too costly(I would not recommend it to newbie marketers and those who submit less than 10 articles per week) and second option is to do split testing. Yes try to submit your articles at different times and see how much time ezine takes your articles to approve and once you find the best suitable timing, Submit all of your articles during that time and your articles will get approved at your desired time and will get great exposure in terms of ezine traffic as well as search engine traffic and more traffic you get, more chances to earn money.
